Pivot door points

  • For a pivot door, the ceiling must be solidly screwable, this can be concrete, stone or wood.
  • With plasterboard, we recommend applying at least 2 times 18 mm plywood above the plasterboard, otherwise we will not be able to fit the doors.
  • For steel beams, we recommend that they be clad with 2 times 18 mm plywood.
  • In a suspended ceiling, a strip grid is to be installed. 4 cm of wood should be fitted behind this strip grid.
  • In the ceiling we must be able to drill at least 4 cm, no pipes should run within this distance.
  • The floor must also be solid and unable to subside. We must be able to drill a minimum of 10 mm into the floor. Underfloor heating is then normally not a problem either because we only need to drill 10 mm deep. The living floor (tile or glued-down floor) also counts.
  • If the underfloor heating still has to be milled in or poured, a 25 x 25 cm section from the wall must be kept free of pipes at the pivot point, and there should be no other pipes here either.
  • If the hinge point of the door is shifted, more clearance must be kept, please contact us for this.
  • Once there is a side light, 25 x 25 must be kept clear from the side light. This is really about the hinge point. If in doubt, please call +31 (0)85 130 19 65.
  • Walls and ceilings should be finished as straight and level as possible. This way, you will have the best end result and minimal gaps will be created.
  • The walls and ceilings should be finished as if there will be no door.
  • Also make sure there are no smoke detectors, lamps and/or air intake points in the turning directions. Further also at the door location there should be no switches or sockets.
  • With skirting boards we have to cut a piece out of the skirting boards, to avoid this you cannot use skirting boards or adhesive skirting boards (flat on the floor). This can also be read further under the heading Assembly. The cut edges must be finished by a painter, this is not something we do. If skirting boards are made of stone, we are not responsible for them cracking due to poor gluing, and the same applies to floor tiles.
  • All panels can have a size/straightness tolerance of 4 mm.
