Q: How are the steel doors made?

Our steel doors are made of high-quality aluminium. We use self-developed profiles that are made to measure, based on the measurements taken. The glass consists of a single piece and is placed directly into the profile. Each steel door is then given a protective coating for a sleek and durable result. This is how we guarantee a sleek, sturdy and low-maintenance end result.

Q: In which colours are the steel doors available?

The standard available colour is black (RAL 9005). Almost all other RAL colours such as white, black, gold, various types of bronze and anthracite are possible

Q: What types of glass are possible in a steel door?

As standard, we supply our doors with six millimetre thick clear laminated glass. Would you prefer something else? You can also choose bronze or grey glass, also known as smoked glass. In addition, we supply various types of patterned glass, such as reeded glass. Frosted glass (also known as milk glass) is also available, optionally in a grey or bronze tint. There are therefore plenty of possibilities. Please feel free to contact us, and we will be happy to think along with you.

Q: What is the delivery time of a steel door and how does the delivery work?

At present, the average lead time is three to six weeks up to the site survey. From the site survey, we estimate it will take approximately four to seven weeks until installation. Delivery times are slightly longer around the summer building industry holiday (three weeks) and the Christmas holiday (one week). The exact schedule also depends a little on where you live. In some regions we can visit sooner, whilst in others it may take a little longer. Would you like to know how this applies to your situation? Feel free to call or email us, and we’ll check it for you straight away. When we schedule a measurement appointment, we’ll also let you know straight away when we’ll deliver the door. Would you prefer to have the door fitted by Aluwdoors? That’s possible, and we’d recommend it. Our experts will fit the door professionally, so you can enjoy it to the full.

Q: What is the difference between steel and aluminium doors?

Our doors are made of aluminium, not steel. They look very similar to steel doors, but are often more affordable and lighter in weight. The manufacturing process is also different: aluminium doors are made to measure using profiles we have designed ourselves, with CNC machines. These profiles are finished and assembled in our workshop in Nunspeet. There are no visible welds. Would you like to see what they look like? Aluwdoors supplies a range of aluminium interior doors, including black and bronze models, pivot doors, hinged doors, sliding doors and rebated doors. All doors are produced in our own factory, where we pay a great deal of attention to customisation, finish and quality.

Choose from various options in colour, glass and ironmongery, so that the door matches the interior well. Thanks to our efficient working method, the delivery time is also short. Because every room has different requirements, we offer various types of internal doors.

Steel sliding doors

Sliding doors are a smart choice for anyone wanting to save space without compromising on appearance. They are mounted on a rail system, which is fixed to the ceiling or the wall. Sliding do sliding doors simply over the wall or over side panels, if there is no suitable wall.

This makes the doors particularly suitable for smaller rooms, cupboards, office spaces or as a partition between living and dining areas. By using a lot of glass, they retain the spacious feel and let daylight through into adjacent spaces.

Steel hinged doors

Hinged doors are the most traditional doors among steel interior doors. We attach the doors to the frame. A hinged door is fitted within a frame, allowing the door to open and close to one side. This type of door has a robust appearance, is stable and suitable for daily use.

You can fully customise the look to suit your interior style, whether it’s industrial, modern or classic. The use of aluminium and laminated glass ensures a long service life.

Steel pivot doors

Pivot doors are popular due to their unique pivot system: they rotate on a vertical axis and can be opened to both sides. Rebated doors

Steel rebated doors

One front door overlaps partly with the frame, making the transition between door and wall look sleek. We supply these doors with new hinges and the door is fitted into the existing rebated frame. This finish creates a neat and modern appearance, without visible seams or gaps. Rebated doors are extra sturdy, making them suitable for various rooms in the house.

Choose from a range of profile colours, different glazing configurations and various types of door fittings, so that the door matches the rest of your interior perfectly. Another advantage is that you don’t need to carry out any demolition or breaking work to have a rebated door fitted.

Mixing lukewarm water with a little soft soap works well. We also deliver a cleaning kit to the door. The cleaning agent you need for properly cleaning the steel doors can also be ordered separately from us.
