Steel sliding doors

Sliding doors are a smart choice for those who want to save space without compromising on appearance. They are mounted on a rail system, which is attached to the ceiling or wall. Slide the sliding doors simply away over the wall or over side panels, if there is no suitable wall.

Hinged doors

Steel hinged doors

Hinged doors are the most traditional doors among interior steel doors. We attach the doors to the frame. A hinged door is installed in a frame, allowing the door to open and close to one side. This type of door has a sturdy look, is stable and suitable for everyday use.

Steel rebated doors

A overlap door falls partly over the frame, making the transition between door and wall look sleek. We supply these doors with new hinges and the door is installed in the existing upstand frame. This finish creates a neat and modern look, with no visible seams or gaps. Flush doors are extra sturdy, which makes them suitable for different rooms in the house.

How are steel doors made?

Our steel doors are made of high-quality aluminium. We use self-developed profiles that are made to measure, based on the measurement. The glass is one-piece and fitted directly into the profile.

Each steel door is then given a protective coating for a sleek and durable result. In this way, we guarantee a sleek, sturdy and low-maintenance end result.

What are the standard dimensions of steel doors?

All our steel interior doors are made to measure, so no standard dimensions can be given.

What colours are the steel doors available in?

The standard colour available is black (RAL 9005). Almost all other RAL colours such as white, black, gold, different types bronze and anthracite are possible

What types of glass are possible in a steel door?

As standard, we supply our doors with clear laminated glass six millimetres thick. Would you prefer something else? You can also choose bronze or grey glass, also known as smoked glass. We also supply various types of patterned glass, such as ribbed glass. Frosted glass (aka milk glass) is also possible, possibly in a grey or bronze shade.

Are steel doors suitable for outdoor use?

Our aluminium sliding and hinged doors are stainless and are sometimes installed outdoors. Naturally, this also applies to our aluminium folding walls and exterior doors.

What is the delivery time of a steel door and what is the delivery procedure?

Currently, the delivery time is on average three to six weeks until measuring. From measuring to installation, we calculate around four to seven weeks. Around the summer construction holidays (three weeks) and the Christmas holidays (one week), the delivery time is somewhat longer.

The exact schedule also depends a bit on where you live. In some regions we can come by faster, in others it may take a bit longer. Want to know how this works for your situation? Feel free to call or email us and we will check it for you.

When we schedule a fitting date, we will also let you know immediately when we will deliver the door. Would you prefer to have the door assembled by Aluwdoors? This is possible and recommended. Our experts will expertly assemble the door to ensure you get maximum enjoyment from it.

What is the difference between steel and aluminium doors?

Our doors are made of aluminium, not steel. They are very similar in appearance to steel doors, but are often more economical and lighter in weight. The production process is also different: aluminium doors are made to measure with CNC machines using profiles we have designed ourselves.

These profiles are finished and assembled in our workshop in Nunspeet. There are no visible welds. Curious what that looks like? In our showroom view and compare all options.

What is the best way to clean my steel door?

Lukewarm water mixed with a little green soap works well. We also supply a cleaning kit with the door. The cleaning agent you need to properly clean steel doors can also be ordered separately from us.

What warranty is included in a custom-made steel door?

A custom-made steel door is usually covered by a 6-month warranty on fitting and a 3-year warranty on the product, provided it is used and maintained normally.
