Soft-close systems for sliding and pivot doors
A softclose system ensures that a door always closes in a controlled and soft manner. With the aluminium sliding and pivot doors of Aluwdoors, this system is often used to make everyday use more pleasant and safe.
As the door brakes automatically, it is more comfortable to close. At the same time, a soft-close system increases comfort and safety in the home or office.

How does a soft-close system work?
Our doors are fitted with a softclose system, as this system ensures that the door closes in a more pleasant way, without hard knocks
At sliding doors the system is always invisibly concealed in the rails. You also increase security in your home or office.
Advantages of a soft-close system
A soft-close system also adds to the look of the interior. The mechanism is always concealed in the rails. Thus, the soft-close system cannot be seen.
In addition, the system gives extra convenience in areas where doors open and close frequently, such as offices or busy households. This increases convenience, as doors always close quietly and evenly.
Softclose on sliding doors
In our sliding doors, the soft-close system is integrated in the rail that is fixed to the wall or ceiling. This keeps the technology out of sight while the doors run smoothly. The door further closes softly and gradually, without you having to pay attention yourself.
A quiet soft-close system makes it ideal for living rooms, kitchens and offices. In rooms where people congregate and where doors are often used, softclose provides extra comfort and peace of mind.
With pivot doors (no matter whether it is a single or double door), the soft-close system is incorporated in the high threshold. The door always closes softly and gradually. With sliding doors, you can choose between a single or double soft-close system.

Softclose for pivot doors
In pivot doors, the closing delay is often incorporated in the pivot hinge. The hinge brakes the movement and allows the door to close in a controlled manner. Especially with heavy aluminium doors, this gives extra comfort and control: the door turns smoothly and closes neatly. Combined with an automatic closing position, the door always closes fully and gently, ensuring ease of use and a neat finish.

Can a soft-close system be retrofitted?
A softclose system cannot be retrofitted. With our pivot doors, the door is fitted with softclose as standard, with our sliding doors this is an option, but it must be taken into account when designing the door.
However, it is important to have the door and its dimensions checked carefully beforehand. This way, you can be sure that the system works without any problems and the door closes smoothly and safely. Want to know if your door is suitable for a soft-close system?
