Maintaining steel doors and walls
For a beautiful and functional door, proper maintenance of your aluminium steel door is indispensable. After all, you use a door every day and therefore it gets a lot of wear and tear. So clean the profiles and glass regularly. With good maintenance of a steel door or wall you not only ensure optimum ease of use, but your door also retains its beautiful appearance for a long time.

Maintenance of aluminium profiles
Planning to give the aluminium parts of your door a good cleaning? Then get mild detergents in the house. This will keep the material looking beautifully finished. Avoid harsh cleaners, scouring pads and solvents to avoid scratches or discolouration.
Instead, use a soft cloth or sponge with warm water. Finally, rinse the surface with clean water and dry carefully to avoid water spots.
First aid for stains or limescale
Are there fingerprints or light stains on the profile? Use a soft, lint-free cloth and a mild, pH-neutral detergent in lukewarm water to remove the stains. You can use green soap or a drop of washing-up liquid, but don't use too much. This may leave a greasy film.
Again, avoid aggressive agents such as abrasives or chemical solvents. It is also better not to use all-purpose cleaner. They sometimes damage the powder coating irreparably or cause dull spots. After cleaning, always dry the profile well with a clean, dry cloth to avoid chalk stains.
Cleaning and protecting glass
For streak-free results when cleaning glass, it is important to use the right material. For example, a soft cloth is ideal for cleaning glass. Another option is to use a microfibre cloth in combination with warm water and a small amount of glass cleaner. Be careful not to get too much of the glass cleaner on the aluminium profiles. These do not stand up well to it. Abrasive materials are best left in, as they cause scratches or a dull haze.
Avoid streaks on the glass by drying it well after cleaning. Stains and streaks are fortunately easy to avoid, by cleaning the glass regularly. Do this extra often in rooms where doors or aluminium walls come into contact with water, such as kitchens. Did limescale build up anyway? Then clean the window with a mild glass cleaner or limescale remover.

Maintaining handles and fittings
A beautiful door that works smoothly is really an asset to your home. You get this done by regularly cleaning the handles and latches as well.
Use a mild detergent and a slightly damp cloth to clean metal handles. Choose a soft sponge rather than an abrasive sponge, as it may scratch or discolour. Check all parts of the door regularly, such as latches and parts that move. That way, you will enjoy it for years without problems and with great pleasure.
Protection of finishes
A well-finished door that lasts a long time is not something you just get. You have to put in some effort to extend the life of the door. For example, clean the paint layers of your aluminium door regularly with a mild, non-abrasive soap. This will keep the colour on your door beautiful for a long time.
