A veneered door from Aluwdoors is a aluminium interior door which is finished on the outside with a layer of wood veneer. That is a thin layer of real oak, which is carefully applied to the aluminium core.

Wood veneer as a base

The veneer layer is precisely bonded to the aluminium core of the door. This creates a strong connection. The natural wood grain remains clearly visible. The aluminium base ensures a sturdy, long-lasting door that is easy to install.

Difference between veneer and solid wood

Solid wooden doors consist entirely of wood and are therefore often heavier in weight and more sensitive to fluctuations in temperature and humidity than veneered doors. 

These doors with an aluminium base do not have that disadvantage: the aluminium core provides a stable base, while the wood veneer provides the natural look. This gives your door the same warm appearance, but with greater ease of use and less maintenance is required. Just cleaning occasionally with water and a mild detergent is sufficient.
